One Woman’s Path

2020
OverviewAs part of the Digital Media: Interactive Design course taken during my Senior year at Skidmore College, I worked on a project to bring a short story written by my grandmother to life in a digital format. The goal was to merge traditional storytelling with modern web design techniques, creating an interactive and visually engaging experience.

The web story is structured as a scrolling narrative, where each section of the story is accompanied by animations that allow for a dynamic storytelling experience. I designed and built the entire website using HTML and CSS, carefully considering responsive design principles to ensure a smooth and cohesive experience on desktop devices. The layout and visual design reflect the themes of the story, with attention to typography, color schemes, and imagery that complement the narrative. This project allowed me to explore the intersection of animation, storytelling, and web design, and it holds personal significance as it showcases a personal story written by grandmother.
